Rubio warns Iran will ‘lose tankers’ for attempts to strike US naval ships
Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned Tuesday that the U.S. will continue targeting Iranian oil tankers in response to ongoing attacks on American naval ships.
“Iran continues to try to hit U.S. naval ships,” Rubio told reporters in Colombia.
“And for every time they do that or try to do that, they’re going to lose tankers.”
“And I think you’ll see that again today,” he added, referring to U.S. strikes on five Iranian tankers in the region Tuesday.
